LIFE 101 – AN EXPLORATION OF GENESIS 1-3

I'm excited about a new series of messages that I'll be teaching each Sunday throughout the summer months beginning tomorrow. I have entitled the series:

LIFE 101 – AN EXPLORATION OF GENESIS 1-3

Did you know that the first three chapters of the biblical book of Genesis are a key to understanding the ultimate meaning of Life!
Yes... I really mean that... Think about it -- Genesis 1-3 deals with...

• Creation,
• The Environment,
• Life’s Purpose,
• Relationships,
• Work,
• Sin,
• Redemption and
• So Much MORE!!!

It's true... these first three chapters of this ancient book encompasses the answers we human beings are looking for.

Join me each Sunday at Warwick Assembly of God throughout the summer months as we journey together through this important part of Holy Scripture.

What Would Jesus Buy?

Have you heard of Reverend Billy from the "Church of Stop Shopping"? Well there is a movie out for the Christmas Season titled "What would Jesus buy?". The movie is by Morgan Spurlock of "Super Size It" fame and features Reverend Billy and his crusade to recapture Christmas from the clutches of consumerism. Looks like great stuff!

Here is an interview of Morgan by Rick McKinley who is Pastor Imago Dei Community in Portland, Oregon. Good Stuff!

In what ways have you modified your Christmas spending this year? Let's talk!

Reality Church

There is a great post on Dan Kimball's blog entitled "Reality Church".

In an extremely insightful manner he details ten stages many people go through in their church life... from new believer enthusiasm to disillusionment to understanding to a real commitment to Christ and the church.

As a pastor, I have seen this very thing happen and have always tried to be understanding as people experience these stages. I always seek to leave an "open door" finding that many feel the freedom to re-enter life in our local body.
